Disclaimer:  the Morganton and Hickory icons were showing erroneous temperature readings during certain weather conditions.  This is due to a documented software bug in the VWS software.  The Valdese icon is not subject to this bug, for whatever reason.  If the designers ever get around to fixing the bug, we will post the Morganton and Hickory icons again.  If you are already using either of these icons, we will continue to update them.  Just be aware that they often read around 33 degrees when the temperature is in fact in the 50s or 60s.  We make every attempt to provide accurate data.  Continuously posting weather icons with erroneous readings just makes the amateur weather community (and us) look bad.  It is unfortunate that not everyone associated with the amateur weather community is dedicated to accuracy.
